Kids Care Team Members provide safe, loving child care for events at Citizens Church apart from regular Sunday morning services. Kids Care is provided so that parents can participate in classes, Recovery groups and other events that assist their spiritual growth and connection with the church, while knowing that their kids are being loved and cared for. This role requires flexibility and dedication to the ministries of Citizens Church.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive kids into class in orderly and friendly manner
- Work with fellow team members to facilitate and participate in games, songs, puzzles, crafts, snack time and other activities while kids are in class
- When provided, teach the Bible lesson using curriculum and props given
- Change diapers and help toddlers in bathroom as needed (women only)
- Release children to parents/guardians following security procedures
- Clean and reset classroom after children have departed
- Follow all directions from Kids Care Coordinator or Kids Ministry Staff Member running the event
- Use Planning Center Online to maintain work schedule and communicate absences with supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Have reliable transportation to and from all scheduled shifts
- Enjoy working with kids and be able to respectfully communicate with parents
- Successfully complete Ministry Safe Training for child abuse awareness and renew training every two years, as required
- Ability to problem solve, be flexible and work well on a team
- Must be available to work during regular Kids Care events, at least one of the following shifts:
- Tuesday mornings
- Tuesday evenings
- Wednesday evenings
- Second Sunday of every month (afternoon/evening)
OTHER
- Maintain compliance with Citizen Church’s employee policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements
- Must demonstrate annually a clear background check
- Perform other duties as required
